Warren James Winery is a local family owned winery & event center located in Mattoon Illinois
Warren James Winery opened in 2023 by brothers Cole and Blake Pierce, with the goal of creating a legacy business in their hometown, and an environment for people to gather, relax, and enjoy the company of their friends and family. The property consists of nearly 55 acres that boasts a vineyard spanning 8 different varieties, wild flowers, sunflowers, prairie grass, bee hives, walking trail, pond, and patio. Our building is spilt between our production facilities and our tasting room which features the main bar, fireplace, stage, and rentable event room.
Aside from just wine, we offer many different slushies, sangrias, and specialty cocktails; alongside a full bar of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Most people are also surprised to learn how great our food is! We are open for lunch and dinner with an array of appetizers, flatbreads, sandwiches, wraps, kids menu, and desserts.

Keep an eye out on our calendar for something to do! Every weekend, live music will occur at least once, along with special events such as trivia, music bingo, formal dinners, car shows, crafts, painting events, yoga, comedy nights, and holiday parties. In the summer, a farmers market is held on Friday evenings, and the tasting room is always decorated to celebrate the various holidays and seasons.
Customers can rent the event room for parties, baby or wedding showers, work events, organization events, etc. and we have a specialty catering menu to accommodate.
