LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR
LOCAL VINEYARD
Our vineyard is located onsite and consists of 1,000 vines spanning 8 different varietals. Did you know that the infrastructure of drain tile, irrigation line, and trellis wire spans over 10 miles!
Niagara Vine
Wines produced with Niagara grapes are “foxy” and fruity but usually lack the acid needed for good balance. Blending with a high-acid grape such as Catawba is recommended to improve the character of wines created with this variety.
Neptune Vine
Berries of Neptune are non-slipskin and are seedless, and only on rare occasions have small, soft seed traces been observed. Flavor is fruity and pleasant but not a foxy flavor characteristic of Vitis labrusca cultivars. Skin thickness is moderate, similar to that of Venus.
Marquette Vine
It is known as a disease resistant red grape variety that produces medium-bodied, dry, red wine and is suitable for extended maturation in oak barrels. Over time, it has become one of the most popular grapes adapted to cold climates.
La Crescent Vine
This white grape provides a very cold hardy and moderately disease resistant variety for growers. The wine produced from La Crescent has flavors of apricot, citrus, and tropical fruit similar to that of muscat varieties from where it descends.
Frontenac Gris Vine
These grapes produce wines with good body and are known for their strong fruity flavors, especially peach and pineapple with hints of honey. Wines are typically produced in a white wine style, with the tint of the skins producing white wines with a hint of salmon color.
Einset Seedless Vine
The Einset grape is a variety that was introduced by the Cornell University breeding program. It has medium-sized berries with a bright red skin and flesh that is firm, flavorful, and crack resistant. The Einset has a strawberry-like flavor and is seedless which makes for an easy, delicious late summer snack!
Concord Vine
Concord grapes are native to the eastern United States, and most of the wines made from these grapes are made in an off-dry style (they taste pretty sweet). If you've ever tried Manischewitz, you've had a wine made from Concord grapes.
Canadice Vine
The grape that does it all. From snacks and salads to jelly, juice, and wine. This early ripening grape is known to bear great crops even after hard winters. Sweet, great grape flavor with a unique hint of spiciness.
